Athletics

Middle schools offer coed soccer (fall) and boys and girls basketball (winter) for students in grades 6-8, through Community Education. More information on these sports will be provided as it becomes available.

In addition, the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Athletics Department offers 35 programs for students in grades 7-12. Seventh and eighth grade students may participate in Minnesota State High School League covered athletic programs at the high school in whose attendance area they live OR at their partnered high school.

All students must have a current Athletic Physical, an eligibility form, and an up-to-date Emergency Referral Card on file with their school for all sports.

Forms for sports participation can be found on the sidebar to the right.
