Connecting Parents to Educational Opportunities (CPEO) is a program designed for parents that brings schools, parents, and the community together as equal partners in the education of students. CPEO provides a framework for the creation of a community in which parents and teachers collaborate to transform students’ educational environment, both at home and at school, so that all students can achieve their greatest academic potential.

The Program:

  • Runs for a total of 7 weeks with classes taking place on Wednesday evenings. Dinner and childcare are provided.
  • Starts Wednesday, September 12, and ends Wednesday, October 11.
  • Is available for parents of students in the elementary, middle, and high school age ranges.

Program instruction is available in English, Hmong, Spanish, and Somali. Parents are taught in the language of their choice and the facilitators of the program are ethnicity and language specific.

For more information, see the CPEO page on the MPS website. To register, print and complete the registration form and drop it off in the main office. Forms will also be available in the main office.
