October is Anti-Bullying Month!

In continuing our commitment to social emotional learning, Friday's extended advisory focused on Bullying Prevention. October is bullying prevention month, and we set time aside to communicate to the students that they matter and that bullying is not part of the accepted culture at JPMS.

During our extended advisory, students had the opportunity to learn more about bullying prevention at an Assembly hosted by our Rhino Pride students; to create anti-bullying posters to hang in the hallways; to decorate the sidewalks with kind messages for Kindness in Chalk day; or to buddy up with another advisory, from a different grade, and develop connections across grade levels that we believe will foster more kindness.
