Monique Wiley

Hello! I am the new member to the special education team. I am a special education resource teacher. This is my seventh year working for Minneapolis Public schools and my third year in the role as teacher. This year I graduated from St. Thomas with my second Masters Degree in Special Education. My first was in Teaching and Learning.

This year, I will be working with 6th and 7th grade students helping them to improve both their English Language Arts and Mathematical skills in the classroom and also in small groups. Using evidence-based practices that have helped students advance and make great progress towards grade level skills.

My life has however been intwined with Minneapolis for over fifteen years. My first role is as parent to a beautiful daughter who received special education services here in Minneapolis. This was my reason for becoming a special education teacher. The ultimate goal is to make sure all students receive a inclusive, free and appropriate public education.

Go Rhinos!
