Staff Highlight: Kristin Vaillancourt
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 8:00 AM

Ms. Vaillancourt is a student teacher in her first year at JPS!

A few things people may not know about Ms. Vaillancourt:

  • She loves cooking. She started cooking with her grandma when she was 3 years old.
  • She has always wanted to be a teacher. Both her mom and her grandma are/were teachers in Minneapolis and she’s excited to continue the tradition.
  • She loves to learn. If she could somehow turn taking college classes into a full time job, she would!

Ms. Vaillancourt says that since she’s a student teacher, she’s not sure what her favorite thing about her job is yet, but she’s excited to dive in this year. She really enjoys working with students one-on-one and helping students achieve their goals!

Gifts that Give Back
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 7:50 AM

Give the gift that gives back this holiday season. Purchase Justice Page Spirit Wear for the entire family! All proceeds benefit the PTA. Visit the Justice Page Spirit Wear website to shop.

Also, please consider giving the gift of Spirit Wear to a Justice Page student in need. How it works:

That dollar amount will be directed to a school counselor to give to a student in need to purchase a Spirit Wear item.

Thank you to families who have already donated. Several students are enjoying their new Spirit Wear items.

Immunization Records
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 7:40 AM

All students entering 7th grade must have Meningitis (meningococcal) and Tdap immunizations, or a notarized medical or conscientious exemption document. After December 18, 2019, students who do not have up-to-date immunizations or a notarized conscientious exemption will not be admitted to school until records are provided. Additionally, they will not be able to return after winter break unless they have up to date records or a notarized exemption form.

Questions? Contact the Health Office at 612-668-4040.

Names in the Yearbook
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 7:30 AM

Is your student’s legal name Alexander, but everyone knows them as Zane? Does the apostrophe in your last name usually get left out? To request a different name or specific punctuation to be used in the yearbook, please download, print, and fill out a yearbook name change request form, or get a form from the main office.

All information on the form must be filled out completely. A teacher or other member of JPS staff must also sign the form before it will be accepted. All forms can be dropped off in the main office. Forms must be received no later than February 28, 2020.
