Winter Musical at Justice Page

It’s time to register for the winter musical at Justice Page!

This year’s musical will be Shrek Jr. Performances will be Friday, March 13 at 6:30 PM and Saturday, March 14 at 6:30 PM. Registration for cast, crew, costumes, and pit orchestra is open on the Community Education website.

Space is limited so do not wait to sign up! The deadline to register for the cast is Tuesday, November 26. Costume, Tech Crew, and Pit Orchestra will be open until filled. If online registration is showing full, put yourself on the waiting list. You will be contacted if we can put you into the class.

A paper registration form with more details on class meeting schedules can be viewed and downloaded at the Justice Page Community Education website.

Immunization Records

All students entering 7th grade must have Meningitis (meningococcal) and Tdap immunizations, or a notarized medical or conscientious exemption document. After December 18, 2019, students who do not have up-to-date immunizations or a notarized conscientious exemption will not be admitted to school until records are provided. Additionally, they will not be able to return after winter break unless they have up to date records or a notarized exemption form.

Staff Highlight: Jenae Hutchins

Ms. Hutchins is one of our wonderful Spanish teachers! This is her fourth year at JPS.

A few things people may not know about Ms. Hutchins:

  • She has biked to Duluth and LaCrosse.
  • She loves to listen to loud music.
  • She was once hired to play Mickey Mouse for a Disney event.

Ms. Hutchins says that she loves getting to hang out with middle schoolers all day. She is always learning and never bored!

Coffee with the Principal

Moms’ Night Out Page Party

Parenting Middle Schoolers can be challenging! Take the night off on November 22 from 7 PM to 10 PM to meet some new friends. Treats will be provided by La La Homemade Ice Cream and Railbox Consulting.

There is no charge to attend this Page Party, but please consider a donation to support the PTA that evening. Everyone is welcome, but we only have space for 25 guests. Please RSVP via this Evite to let us know you’ll be there!

Café Lit

Attention parents of 6th graders: Café Lit is coming! Café Lit will take place on November 25 and 26 during 6th grade ELA classes. Please join us to hear original stories written and illustrated by our 6th graders. This project is inspired by the book Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman, with help from Ms. Padilla, Ms. Marr, and Ms. Elissa. Refreshments and good vibes served.

Atención padres de alumnos de 6º grado: ¡Café Lit viene! Café Lit llevará a cabo el 25 y 26 de noviembre, durante las clases de “ELA” de 6º grado. Favor de venir para escuchar cuentos escritos e ilustrados por cada alumno del 6º grado a través de una recitación estilo “café”. Pregúntale a su estudiante qué día presentarán. Registration for Middle School Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball is now open!

All students participating must complete an emergency referral card and have a sports physical on file with our Health Office before the first practice. The physical form must be filled out by a physician or clinic staff. Required forms and registration can be found here.

Participation costs $45. If you qualify for free and reduced lunch, contact Mr. Kennedy in room 206 for student eligibility pricing.

Tryouts will be held the week of December 2, 2019. Practice begins December 17, 2018.
