Heidi Alcaide Garcia

Hello!  My name is Heidi Alcaide Garcia.  This is my first year teaching ESL/Academic Language at Justice Page.  I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in Spanish and International Studies.  During that time, I studied abroad in Valparaiso, Chile.  Then, I taught English in Malaga, Spain for 3 years.  After returning from Spain, I worked at Edison High School for 3 years as a Bilingual Spanish AE while I completed my K-12 ESL licensure at Hamline University.  

When I am not teaching I enjoy running, biking, reading and spending time with my family.  I have a 3 year old son, 10 month old daughter and a 9 year old dog who keep me very busy!
