Art classes with Ms. Elissa and Mr. Schmitz are working with artist-in-residence Missy Whiteman over the next three weeks exploring local indigenous film. The residency will culminate with a video project in which students will examine their identities through a photo montage with voiceover.

Missy comes from the Arapaho and Kickapoo tribes and has helped produce films with local indigenous communities such as “Dakota 38” and “Coyote Way”.

The Art Department would like to thank PTA and parents who helped with the Arts Council fundraiser. This residency would not be possible without your generous support.
