I am excited and grateful to teach 6th Grade English Language Arts at Justice Page Middle School. I am eager to educate students about various reading, writing, and note-taking strategies. We will use reading, writing, and public speaking to create critical readers, writers, and thinkers!
I grew up in Northeast Minneapolis, and I attended Metropolitan State and Hamline University. If I am not reading an academic text, I love to read memoirs and autobiographies. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. This summer, I enrolled in graduate school and ziplined across the Colorado Mountains.
This will be my 15th year working in schools. I have taught language arts, AVID, and Read-180. I have also held roles as a special education assistant, behavior dean, and academic specialist. For the last seven years, I have coached 9th and 10th-grade boys basketball!
A weekly agenda and daily work will be posted on google-classroom: (classroom.google.com).
Please e-mail me at email@example.com, and I will respond to your e-mail within a day.
