Hip-Hop and History for Teens

Washburn Library (5244 Lyndale Ave. S.) is offering a series of classes about hip-hop to middle school students! Classes are on Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:00 PM. Explore the elements of hip-hop, from breakdancing to graffiti art; learn how hip-hop is shared in different cultures worldwide and how the culture of hip-hop is embedded in our daily lives.

January 11: Introduction to nine elements of hip-hop.
January 18: Learn about the influence of hip-hop in different cultures.
January 25: Learn how the culture of hip-hop is embedded in our daily life. Learn how to DJ with a live DJ.

The classes are free, but registration is required. To register, visit the Hennepin County Library website.
