Travis Koupal
Welcome!
I am one of the 8th grade Earth Science teachers as well as the Engineering the Future elective teacher here at Justice Page Middle School. In addition to teaching, I am also
- STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Integration Program Lead and Specialist
- Pratt Family Farm Foundation Justice Page Middle School Maker Space Manager
- Future City Coach
- JPMS Auditorium Manager
- JPMS Video News Editor
- JPMS Webmaster
I have been teaching Middle School Science for Minneapolis Public Schools since 2006 within schools in North and South Minneapolis. I have also worked as a Youth and Family Programs teacher at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Middle School Science with a Minor in Music at St. Cloud State University. I also studied Pan-Africa and South African History, Culture, and Music at the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) in Port Elzabeth, South Africa.
Outside of school, I enjoy urban cycling, music, reading, the ride cymbal, spending time with my spouse and our cat, exploring, and just generally staying busy.
If you need to contact me, email is best for a quick response.
