Heather Novak
Hello! My name is Heather Novak and this will be my fifth year teaching math at Justice Page Middle School. For the 2019-2020 school year I am excited to teach 7th Grade Math, 7th Grade Focus Math and Algebra 8/Intermediate Algebra. I will also be serving as a 7th grade Crew Leader.
I received my B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2006 and my M.A. in Math Education from the University of Minnesota in 2017. I come from a hard working and loving family of teachers and medical professionals - all of whom share the same passion for enriching lives through education.
My goal is to have students learn how they can make connections between mathematics and real-world scenarios through mathematical discourse, cooperative learning and hands-on activities. I want my classroom to be a place where students feel comfortable, excited and challenged to learn math.
When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my family, cooking and baking, walking around the lakes, listening to music, and watching movies.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Justice Page community and look forward to getting to know the students and their families this year! Go Rhinos!
