Tracey Schultz

My name is Tracey Schultz and I am thrilled to be part of the Justice Page Middle School staff and science department. While I am fascinated by anything science-related, I am especially passionate about biology, chemistry, and geology. I love doing experiments in the lab with my students and working together to analyze data.
I became interested in pursuing a science career as a 9th grader at Minneapolis South High School. I was fortunate to have a remarkable Biology teacher who embraced hands-on learning and allowed us to have rigorous lab experiences including dissecting a fetal pig - this was my favorite project! I attended Stanford University and majored in Biology. When I wasn't in the lab, I spent as much time as possible outside, cheering at athletic events (go Cardinal!), and building life-long friendships. I pursued my Master's degree and teaching license at the University of California Los Angeles (go Bruins!) before moving back to Minneapolis.
1999 is one of my favorite Prince songs and also marked the beginning of my teaching career in the Minneapolis Public Schools. Middle school students are my absolute favorite. I've taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science and the one I like best is always the grade I'm currently teaching.
I live in Minneapolis with my partner. We have 2 daughters who also graduated from Minneapolis South High School and now live on the East coast. I love to spend time with my family traveling, cross country skiing, and hiking. I am an avid runner, podcast listener, and sports fan (Go Twins! Go Lynx! Go Vikings!).
