Summer Break Resources

Minneapolis Public Schools and our partners have provided this list of resources available for families during summer break.

Summer Eats

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that students continue to receive nutritious meals during summer vacation, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. The 2019 Summer Food Service Program will run Monday, June 11 through Friday, August 17. There is no service on Wednesday, July 4. Meals and snacks served through the SFSP are free to all children ages 1-18. For more information and program locations, see the Summer Eats MN website, or download their mobile app.

High School Summer Reading Lists

Students starting high school this fall should be aware that many local schools have summer reading expectations! Students may be required to read certain books over the summer.
