Walk Around the Block
Wednesday, March 7, 2018 9:10 AM

On Wednesday, March 14, at 10 am, please join us for a counter-clockwise walk around the Justice Page School city block. Student representatives will lead our advisory classes in solidarity to promote safety in our schools. This Walk Around the Block coincides with the "Enough! Nationwide School Walkout" movement on the one-month anniversary of the Parkland, FL shooting. Meet us outside and experience the power and passion of student voice!

Students will be doing an arts integration project to coincide with this event, creating posters, signs, and/or visual representation of whatever they’re passionate about — animal rights, equality, saving the polar bears, etc. Each advisory will have a specific door to exit. These assignments will be given out during advisory at the end of the week. Students not wishing to participate will remain in the building with supervision until the walk is complete.

If you’d like to join us, meet outside the school at 10 am. Do not enter the building. Your student should know what door their class will be exiting through at the end of this week, so if you want to walk with your student, meet outside their assigned door.

If you have any questions, please direct them to Elissa Cedarleaf-DahlBritta Carroll, or Joshua Nutter.
